Solution - ArcFM - Unable to execute rule error in Miner event log

Version 2

    Behavior

One or more of the following errors are seen in the Miner event log when Feeder Manager 1.0 is enabled but Feeder Manager 2.0 is not:

Unable to execute rule: De-Energized Feature

Unable to execute rule: Electric MultiFed Feature

Unable to execute rule: Electric Loop Feature

The following is a specific example of the Electric Loop Feature error:

015-10-29 12:51:54,556 [1] ERROR Miner.Framework.QaQc.QaQcProcessor [(null)] - Unable to execute rule: Electric Loop Feature

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    Cause

The errors are generated by validation rules that work only with Feeder Manager 2.0. If ArcFM is configured with these validation rules checked and without Feeder Manager 2.0 enabled, the errors will be seen in the Miner event log (see Validation Rules in the ArcFM Appendix).

    Solution

If ArcFM is not using Feeder Manager 2.0 (available in 10.1.1 or higher), then uncheck these validation rules on the ArcFM Properties Manager > Object Info tab. This is performed in ArcCatalog for each relevant feature class.
