Solution - Responder - Cross Phasing Single Phase from Multi-Phase Devices Does Not Restore Customers

Version 1

    Behavior

Closing devices that are multi-phase may not correctly restore customers in some data conditions.

    Problem

The problem can occur if the device being opened is marked as multi-phase, but the edges on both sides of the device are single-phase. At this time, Responder expects the open device to model the phases and is looking for a single-phase device only.

    Solution

A code change has been made to address this in future releases. A workaround for current releases is to modify the open feature to mark the invalid phases as NA so that Responder does not consider them. Testing has also shown that placing a Jumper around the open point, instead of opening, will also restore the customers in a data condition such as this.
