Learn More: Dispatcher Training Simulator

Version 1

Dispatcher Training Simulator is a subsystem within ADMS that operates separately from the realtime system and provides a realistic environment for hands-on dispatcher training under simulated normal, emergency, and restorative operating conditions. The training is based on interactive communication between a trainer/instructor and a trainee/student.

Dispatcher Training Simulator allows personnel to become familiar with the ADMS system and its user interface without impacting actual substation and feeder operations, and also allows personnel to become familiar with the dynamic behavior of the electric distribution system in response to manual and automatic actions, by control and protection systems, during normal and emergency conditions. Dispatcher Training Simulator can also be used for “what if” planning scenarios.
