Another EGUG has come and gone, and as always, it was great to see our friends and user community at the conference and at our social event. This year's conference offered great insight into the growth and evolution of Esri's ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS for Utilities. We here at Schneider Electric look forward to supporting the ongoing marriage between the ArcGIS Platform with our existing and future ArcFM technologies like Thunderbird and Orbit. At the same time, it is amazing to see how much of the traditional power user and desktop tools are still needed. Many of our meetings and demonstrations centered around still solving these network and design requirements with mature and new users alike. Our new Overhead Design Analysis (OHDA) tools is a great enhancement to the ArcFM Solution that is already being applied to address these needs.
This year's EGUG was a great expose for Orbit, our new mobile platform for the ArcFM Solution. Orbit is a mobile platform that supports planned and unplanned activities across all commodities for utility and telecommunications organizations. With Orbit users can leverage their current investment in their network data to create and complete inspections, service requests, site visits, assess damage, and more. This user and role-based platform offers immediate reporting and visualization of inspection and assessment activities. The Orbit platform is certainly gaining the attention within our existing community and beyond. If you are interested in learning more, please reach out and let us know how we can continue to support your objectives and initiatives.
Thank you again for your partnerships in driving the evolution of our solution, and we look forward to seeing you in March at Link 2014.
