    Cause

There are several possible causes for this error. See the Solution section for list of items to check.

    Solution

    1. MaxBlobSize is set too low.

The SDE setting MAXBLOBSIZE in the sde.server_config table may be too low to store the stored sisplay being saved. Increase this to between 10MB (10000000) and 20MB (20000000) and attempt to save the stored display again. Note that this value must be set correctly in sde.server_config, not giomgr.def.

    2. MaxBufSize is set too low.

The SDE setting MAXBUFSIZE may be too low to adequately transfer the stored display between the client and the database. Increase this to 1MB (1000000) and attempt to save the stored display again.

    3. Duplicate or null rows in MM_STORED_DISPLAYS or MM_SYSTEM_STORED_DISPLAYS.

Have a DBA verify that the tables do not have any duplicate rows or rows with a blank USERNAME and/or NAME. If so, remove these rows from the database and attempt to save again. (In some rare instances, it may be necessary to bounce SDE in order for these rows to be visible through SQL.)

    4. Indexes on the MM_STORED_DISPLAYS and MM_SYSTEM_STORED_DISPLAYS tables.

Check the tables for the following required indexes:

    MM_STORED_DISPLAYS

    MM_DISP_IX

    Unique: No

    Ascending: Yes

    Fields: NAME, USERNAME

    MM_SYSTEM_STORED_DISPLAYS

    MM_SDISP_IX

    Unique: No

    Ascending: Yes

    Fields: NAME, USERNAME

    5. Unlimited quota is not turned on for the SDE user (Oracle only).

Have a DBA verify that this is set.

    6. Not enough tablespace left (Oracle) or free space (SQL Server).

Have a DBA verify the remaining tablespace

    7. The table is full and not set to AutoExtend.

Have a DBA verify the status of the table and its settings

    8. Temporary tablespace is missing or full.

Have a DBA verify the status of the table and its settings
