Solution - Geodatabase Manager - Service not Restarted After Memory is Exceeded

Version 3

    Behavior

Geodatabase Manager reports that memory has been exceeded and the service will be restarted.  The service is stopped, but never started again.

A message similar to the following is reported in the GDBM log.
5/11/2013 11:30:09 PM : Warning! Current memory usage has exceeded its limit. Restarting the service.

    5/11/2013 11:30:26 PM : *****GDBM Reconcile A - Process ID: 3048 - Stopping as requested.*****

    Cause

This issue may be related to the following bug which will be addressed in a future release of ArcFM.
MM51483:  ArcFM Geodatabase Manager -- GDBM Monitor will not successfully restart service (after memory has been exceeded) if a space is in the service name.

    Workaround

The workaround is to create a new GDBM service and specify a name that does not contain spaces.
