Solution - ArcFM - Work around for MISSING RESOURCE warning event

Version 4

    Behavior

    The following warning is written to the Miner event log when ArcMap is started and the Electric Traces toolbar is enabled in ArcFM 10.0.2 and 10.0.3:

    2012-06-25 18:57:46,904 [1] WARN Miner.Resourcer [(null)] - MISSING RESOURCE (TraceTools.ProtDev.Isolation.Message) in Miner.Desktop.Resources._MinerResource{log4net:HostName=PT-830360, LoggingAssemblyFileVersion=10.03.0.7494}

    Cause

    This is caused by a bug in the resource file C:\Program Files (x86)\Miner and Miner\ArcFM Solution\Resources\Miner.Desktop\Miner.Desktop.Resources._MinerResource.resx. The bug is MM45489 and is fixed in ArcFM 10.1.

    Solution

    The resource file can be fixed using the following steps:

    1. Edit C:\Program Files (x86)\Miner and Miner\ArcFM Solution\Resources\Miner.Desktop\Miner.Desktop.Resources._MinerResource.resx.
    2. Search for: "TraceTools.ProtDev.Isolation.MessagTraceTools.ProtDev.Isolation.Message"
    3. Change this value to "TraceTools.ProtDev.Isolation.Message".
    4. Save the file and exit out of the editor.
    5. Copy this file to Miner.Desktop.Resources._MinerResource.en-US.resx in the same folder. Note:  The value added to the end of the file name (in this case en-US) must match the locale that the client PC is set to. This is explained in the ArcFM online documentation at resources.arcfmsolution.com/LocalizationSDK/LocalizeNET.html.
    6. Start ArcMap and verify that the warning is no longer being logged in the Miner event log.
    7. Copy this file to the same folder on all client PCs.
