Solution - Fiber Manager - Unable to Split Fiber Cable with Splice or TransitionPoint

Version 4

    When attempting to split a fiberopticcable feature with a splicepoint or transitionpoint, an error similar to the following is recorded in the Miner Event Viewer log.

    2013-08-01 14:24:04,682 [1] ERROR Miner.Framework.FiberManager.SheathSplit [(null)] - Error: Dropped container has no fiber this class model name
    Stack trace:    at Miner.Framework.FiberManager.SheathSplit.SplitSheathUsingPoint(IFeature pointFeature)
    {log4net:HostName=testmachine, LoggingAssemblyFileVersion=}

    The cable is never split, and the splicepoint or transitionpoint is never placed.

    This problem will occur if the THISFIBERCLASSMODELNAME field does not contain a default value for the Transitionpoint or Splicepoint feature classes.

    Use the following steps to enter a default value in the THISFIBERCLASSMODELNAME field, for the feature class causing the error message.

    1. Launch ArcCatalog, and connect to the geodatabase while it is not in use.
    2. Right-click the feature class that is causing the error message and click 'Properties'.
    3. Click the Fields tab.
    4. Select the THISFIBERCLASSMODELNAME field, and enter an appropriate model name for the Default Value (usually SPLICEPOINT or TRANSITIONPOINT).
