Solution - Responder - Unable to Pan or Zoom to Jumpers

    Behavior

     

    Jumpers are not appearing in ArcMap after being drawn and users are unable to Pan / Zoom to jumper records that appear in Responder Explorer.

     

    Cause

     

    Responder Jumpers implement the Responder Line Display technology to draw the records into ArcMap.  These updates are delivered to all the clients via PubSub.  Some ArcMap tools will not work on Jumpers until the updates have been recieved by the clients.

     

    Solution

     

    PubSub updates are delivered on an interval chosen in ArcMap and Responder Explorer.  Occurrences of this can be lowered by decreasing the update intervals in both clients.  The users also have the option to hit the manual refresh in Responder Explorer to alleviate the issue.
