In follow up to this morning's announcement from Esri "A Letter from Jack Dangermond to the Utility and Telecommunications Community" that some of you may have received, we wanted to offer some further explanation and details in the specific context of the ArcFM Solution. (please note that access to this link above containing Esri's original letter is limited to existing ArcFM Solution clients and partners who are members of the private GIS Downloads group).

 

As the leading Esri Utility Solution partner and your trusted advisor, Schneider Electric is aligned with the direction announced in Esri's recent letter to you. We fully support an ArcGIS release dedicated specifically to your needs. We will continue to partner with Esri to deliver tangible business value that makes your work lives easier.

 

ArcFM Solution 10.2.1, currently available for download here in exchange within the private GIS Downloads group (membership required), will be a release that continues to optimize performance and improve stability, while minimizing the impact of technology change to you. Going forward, we will continue to build value in the ArcFM Solution suite. We strongly encourage you to work with your Account Manager and our Client Services group to develop a strategy and plan to upgrade to version 10.2.1 as soon as possible.

 

As part of the Quality Improvement Patch (QIP) process, we partnered closely with Esri to develop and test performance and stability improvements. Schneider Electric software engineers and quality assurance engineers traveled to Esri's Holistic Test Lab in Redlands, CA, in order to collaborate with Esri. We look forward to continuing this relationship and leveraging the new Utilities and Telecom Test Lab to ensure our future releases are of the highest quality possible.
