I’m excited to announce the release of ArcFM Web 4.6.2!

This is an exciting new release of our HTML5/JS based ArcFM Web and its jam packed full of new functionality.

Highlights of 4.6.2:

  • Electric, Gas and Water tracing activities for Workflows
  • A new Time Slider control to manipulate the time extent of the map
  • Ability to change the rendering of layers on the fly with new Dynamic Symbolization controls
  • Ability to toggle and reconfigure the labels of layers on the fly
  • Users can add layers to the map from a predefined list of catalog layers set by the administrator

One of the enhancements I’m really excited about in this release are the new Electric, Gas and Water tracing activities that can be used in Workflows. In your organization today, what does it take to accomplish tasks like the examples below?

  1. Selecting all of the poles on a feeder for routine maintenance
  2. Generating a report of affected customers for a planned outage
  3. Buffering an address location for assets that are older than 20 years
  4. Identifying valves that you need to operate to isolate an area of the network
  5. Creating a chart that shows the phase-load breakdown for a feeder

In the past, solutions to these problems are harder than they should be and they generally require custom code. But with ArcFM Web 4.6.2 you can utilize the new tracing activities in combination with over 200 other pre-built functions to solve these problems through configuration rather than customization. Common tasks can now be simplified and much of the business-process automated with ArcFM Web Workflows. And best of all – you don’t need to write code to build Workflows! I’m really looking forward to seeing the types of Workflows our customers create and the innovation that can be unlocked using these new activities.
