ArcFM Mobile is not officially part of the ArcFM 10.2.1b release. However, during the development of the 10.2.1b, we have had several releases of ArcFM Mobile, including version 2.2 released on May 20.
Here’s a quick summary of new features in ArcFM Mobile over the last six months:
Redlining – ArcFM Mobile for iPad users can now create redline sketches. These redlines are part of tasks, so field users can create sketches that are associated with their work. And these redlines are viewable in ArcFM and ArcGIS desktop by coordinators and GIS editors for rapid decision making and GIS corrections.
Follow-up work – This is now configurable in the ArcFM Mobile Portal. The coordinator can quickly establish common workflows such as a follow-up edit task for a GIS editor after a field user recommends a GIS edit, thus enabling easy collaboration between field and office.
ArcFM Mobile Viewer – We now provide an ArcFM Mobile for iPad option with limited functionality such as map view, address search, asset search, and feature identify. This allows a low subscription cost for your users who just need a basic viewer. Meanwhile they still use the same app as your users with more advanced functionality, thus reducing your IT burden for mobile solutions. Also note that none of your data must be stored in the cloud to use ArcFM Mobile Viewer.
Map-only view – This user interface option gives a full screen view of the map to reduce panning and zooming for your users viewing GIS information in the field. The map-only view is available in both ArcFM Mobile Viewer and full ArcFM Mobile.
Offline maps – ArcFM Mobile for iPad is now certified to support offline maps for small and medium sized utilities (roughly up to 500K meters, replica size 500MB or 1.5 M features). So your users can be fully operational with ArcFM Mobile regardless of connectivity. Note that we are using the latest and greatest Esri technology for offline maps support, so please review the system requirements.
See how ArcFM Mobile can improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction at your organization!
